Discover more for your classroom with Educator Workshops

Explore how active science and the study of the natural world can enhance STEELS-aligned curriculum. Collaborate with fellow educators as you investigate strategies, tools, and resources designed to help learners build analytical and critical thinking skills. Workshops are open to educators who work in a variety of fields including schools, community centers, or informal learning settings. Act 48 credit hours are earned at each workshop. Registration is required.

The 2024-2025 Educator Workshop Series will focus on the new STEELS standards and how both formal and informal educators can learn from each other in planning for these exciting changes. Join us as we think together about building resources and planning experiences to incorporate the standards at both K-12 and informal education settings.

Fees and Registration

Workshops are provided at no-cost to educators who are currently employed at a school, community, or museum-based learning organization and who are able to test resources presented in the workshop with learners. Workshop participants are also eligible to apply for scholarship funding to help learners access related resources, including field trips to Carnegie Museum of Natural History and Powdermill Nature Reserve.

For questions about specific programs, contact Program Registration at 412.622.3288 or email ProgramRegistration@carnegiemuseums.org.

Educator Workshops are supported by funding from The Grable Foundation.
